Pro Edition · One-Time Purchase

Know the flight
before you fly it.

Full six-degree-of-freedom simulation for high power rocketry. Wind, staging, clustering and dispersion — solved, not assumed. Built for L3, research and anything where the margin actually matters.

What Pro Does

The parts that decide the flight.

Standard gets you altitude and stability for a simple single-stage flight. Pro handles the cases where a simplified model quietly gives you the wrong answer.

01 — Flight Dynamics

Six degrees of freedom, solved.

A 3-DOF model assumes the rocket points where it's going. Real rockets don't — they pitch, yaw and roll, and that coupling is exactly what produces the surprises. Pro integrates all six.

  • Angle of attack tracked through the whole profile
  • Roll rate from fin cant and induced torque
  • Dynamic stability, not just static margin
stability — CG / CP / margin
01234 CALIBERS MIN 1.0 cal Static margin Dynamic margin
02 — Atmosphere

Wind that behaves like wind.

A rocket doesn't meet one wind speed — it climbs through layers of them, each with its own direction, and gets shoved on the way up. Pro models the column, not a single number.

  • Layered wind profiles with direction shift by altitude
  • Gust response and turbulence intensity
  • Weathercocking off the rail, where it costs the most
dispersion — 500 runs
3000 ft PAD 95% within 2,180 ft Wind 12 mph @ 240° · veering 280° above 5k
03 — Complex Vehicles

Staging and clusters, timed properly.

Separation events and air-starts introduce failure modes a single-motor model can't see. Pro simulates each stage as its own vehicle with its own mass, drag and stability.

  • Multi-stage separation with coast-phase modeling
  • Motor clusters, including asymmetric ignition failure
  • Air-start timing windows and velocity gates
04 — Output

Data that leaves the app.

A simulation you can't hand to anyone is half a tool. Export geometry and aero data to your modeling stack, and generate reports that answer the questions a waiver application asks.

  • CAD geometry and CFD-ready aero data export
  • Flight reports formatted for certification paperwork
  • Raw timestep data out to CSV for your own analysis

Simulation is a prediction, not a guarantee. Results depend entirely on the accuracy of the mass, geometry and atmospheric data you provide, and no model fully captures a real motor on a real day. Always fly within your certification level, follow NAR and Tripoli safety codes, and defer to the RSO on site.

Questions

Before you buy.

How do I unlock Pro after paying?

You'll receive a license key by email at the address used at checkout. Open the simulator, paste the key in, and the Pro features unlock — nothing to install or download. Keys are issued manually, so allow up to one business day; if it hasn't arrived, email us and we'll sort it immediately.

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment, and the license is perpetual. Because the simulator runs in the browser, improvements reach you automatically at no extra cost. A future major version may be a separate paid upgrade.

What's the difference between Standard and Pro?

Standard covers single-stage flights with a 3-DOF solver, stability analysis, motor database and recovery sizing — enough for most L1 and L2 flights. Pro adds full 6-DOF dynamics, wind modeling, multi-stage and clustering, Monte Carlo dispersion, and export and reporting.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The simulator runs in your browser, so it works on desktop, laptop or tablet with nothing to install. Your key unlocks Pro wherever you sign in.

Do I need Pro for a Level 3 certification flight?

Not strictly — certification requirements come from NAR or Tripoli, not from us. That said, the dispersion analysis and flight reporting exist specifically because L3 projects tend to raise questions that a single nominal trajectory doesn't answer well.

Can I import my existing OpenRocket files?

Yes. OpenRocket .ork files import directly, along with .eng motor files and CSV thrust curves.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Email us and we'll make it right. Tell us what went wrong — for a $19 tool we'd rather refund you quickly than argue about it.
